As part of an ongoing inquiry into no-sew fabric kirigami, I was possessed with a series of images of sheets of fabric folded over and over themselves at a series of 90 and 180˚ angles.
These beautiful shapes have a hidden variety. I invite the reader to find among the examples below the two which are topologically Möbius strips, with only one side. I've made it easy by shading shared faces.
One might also ponder which can be cut out and folded from a single flat sheet, as, for example, certain of these will overlap themselves when laid flat.
Questions like these will surely inform further explorations of no-sew sculptures and wearables.
