No-sew Folds
As part of an ongoing inquiry into no-sew fabric kirigami, these images depict sheets of fabric folded over and over themselves at a series of 90 and 180˚ angles.
These beautiful shapes have a hidden variety.
For example, among the examples below there are two which are topologically Möbius strips, with only one side.
One might also ponder which can be cut out and folded from a single flat sheet, as, for example, certain of these will overlap themselves when laid flat.
Questions like these will inform further explorations of no-sew sculptures and wearables.
